Lord of the Glen

Gohagan & Company is proud to provide the most chartered ships and river boats in educational and affinity travel—the ideal way to experience the unforgettable destinations in our specially designed itineraries. In addition, the luxurious ships we charter for our ocean and river cruises provide access to ports often inaccessible to larger vessels.

Perfectly Designed

At less than 150 feet in length, Lord of the Glens was designed to transit the network of locks and canals that cut through the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Every cruise on board Lord of the Glens journeys along the hauntingly beautiful Caledonian Canal; known as the Royal Route, following its endorsement by Queen Victoria in 1873. The canal transports guests serenely from Inverness to Fort William, and with only 50 guests on board, the emphasis is not on speed, but on style, while the relaxed and cozy atmosphere harks back to tailor-made travel of the old-fashioned variety.

Classic Style

Lord of the Glens’ understated, timeless decor perfectly offsets the stunningly beautiful Scottish landscape. Stepping on board, guests are greeted by classic interior design. Rich, hardwood finishes and contrasting cream paneling are reminiscent of the traditional deluxe British Pullman carriages. When Lord of the Glens pulls into harbor, be it for you to amble around the shops at Fort Augustus, or to explore the marvel that is Neptune’s Staircase, you come not as an invading force, but as a group of select invitees.
