Experience a full-day excursion to explore Grand Canaria and its rarely visited sites. Accommodations are in an ideally located 5-star hotel.

Fez and Casablanca Post-Program Option

Conclude your tour with 2 days in Fez, Morocco's carefully preserved Imperial city and known as the "Athens of Africa." Discover the history of Seffarine Place and see its 16th-century marble fountain decorated with fleur-de-lys, and explore the renowned Medina of Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Accommodations are for 2 nights in a 5-star hotel in Fez and 1 night in Casablanca.

Program Itinerary

Day 1 Departure

Your trip will begin by departing your home city.

Day 2 Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain

Arrive in Las Palmas, an attractive town founded by Spanish conquistadors that served as a port for ships sailing around the African continent in 1478.

Day 2 Las Palmas / Embark World Traveller

Spend the morning at leisure to explore Las Palmas. Embark the ship and enjoy dinner on board.

Day 4 Santa Cruz, La Palma

Explore the old quarter of Santa Cruz and see its pilgrimage center and shrine of La Virgen de las Nieves, the island’s patron saint. Enjoy sweeping vistas of Santa Cruz from Mirador de La Concepción in Breña Alta and discover La Palma’s geologic past with a visit to Mirador de La Cumbrecita, which provides dramatic views of the Caldera de Taburiente. Enjoy time at leisure to explore Santa Cruz and later, attend the Captain’s Welcome Reception on board.

Day 5 Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Travel through Vilaflor and the forests of La Esperanza to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Teide National Park, a wilderness of mineral-tinted rock, ancient lava flows, and distinctive vegetation not found anywhere else. Gaze across the vast caldera of Las Cañadas to the snowy summit of Mount Teide and enjoy a panoramic view of the Roques de Garcia. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the UNESCO-designated San Cristóbal de la Laguna, a beautiful university town established in 1496.

Day 6 Day at Sea

Enjoy a relaxing day cruising the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 7 Safi, Morocco, for Marrakesh

Visit masterpieces of Moorish architecture, including the exquisite Bahia Palace, glorious Menara Gardens, and 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque, in ancient Marrakesh. Explore the heart of Marrakesh’s markets, or souks, in the dramatic Jemaa el Fnaa, “Square of the Dead.”

Day 8 Casablanca

Enjoy a panoramic drive along the fashionable, oceanfront Boulevard de la Corniche on an excursion to the cosmopolitan city of Casablanca. See elaborate Mauresque architecture, Mohammed V Square, United Nations Square, and visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque—built on a promontory over the ocean. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to experience the captivating sights and sounds evocative of Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman’s Casablanca.

Day 9 Casablanca for Rabat

Rabat, Morocco’s political capital, was founded by the Almohad Dynasty in A.D. 1146. Visit Hassan Tower, the minaret of an unfinished 12th-century Mosque, and the Mohamed V Mausoleum, which commemorates the sultan who enabled Morocco to achieve independence. Explore the Medina (Old Quarter) and the neighboring Kasbah des Oudayas, a maze of narrow lanes lined with traditional whitewashed houses, named after a garrison of mercenaries from the Oudaya tribe that was set up in Rabat in the 13th century. Enjoy the Captain’s Farewell Reception on board.

Day 10 Casablanca / Return to home city

Disembark in Casablanca and continue on to the Fez and Casablanca Post-Program Option or transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
